Hallucinogens: Out of Your Mind

A hallucinogen is any drug that dramatically changes the user’s mental state and alters his or her perception of reality. Hallucinogens create illusions in all of the senses; users see or hear things that do not exist. They may feel their bodies growing or changing shape or they may experience time and motion in unreal ways.

By far the most commonly used hallucinogen is LSD or "acid." Other hallucinogens that are sometimes seen are psilocybin or psilocyn mushrooms, mescaline/peyote, and PCP.
